Sobre essa semi-recta e a partir da origem A, marcamos comprimentos iguais, com uma qualquer abertura do compasso. Note que essa abertura deve ser próxima de cada uma das partes a dividir o segmento de recta. Unimos o último ponto marcado com a última extremidade do segmento dado e traçamos as paralelas a esta linha que passam pelos pontos marcados.&lt;BR id=qlfk&gt;&lt;BR id=xg_e&gt;Divisão de ângulos&lt;BR id=xitz&gt;Divisão de um ângulo em duas partes iguais: Com qualquer abertura R do compasso, traçamos um arco 1 de circunferência com centro no vértice O do ângulo dado. Com centros nos pontos de intersecção desse arco com os lados do ângulo, traçamos com qualquer abertura r do compasso, dois pequenos arcos que se cruzam num ponto Y. O ponto Y e o vértice O, definem uma semi-recta que divide o ângulo em duas partes iguais que se chama bissectriz.&lt;BR id=c-zq&gt;Divisão de um ângulo em quatro partes iguais.&lt;BR id=ky90&gt;Divisão de um ângulo recto em três partes iguais: Com qualquer abertura r do compasso e com centro no vértice O, traçamos um arco de circunferência. Com centro nos pontos de intersecção desse arco com os lados do ângulo traçamos novos arcos que intersectam o primeiro arco nos pontos Y e Z. Estes pontos definem duas semi-rectas com origem no vértice O, dividindo o ângulo em três partes iguais.&lt;BR id=u_55&gt;&lt;BR id=azmu&gt;Polígonos - porção de superfície plana limitada por segmentos de recta a que chamamos lados.&lt;BR id=i7af&gt;Diagonal de um polígono é o segmento que une dois vértices não consecutivos.&lt;BR id=yanw&gt;Polígono regular: têm todos os lados iguais. Hoje em dia este problema tem tendência a desaparecer devido a uniformização de usos, de modos de vida e até devido à emigração. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P class=MsoNormal id=nmdx style="TEXT-INDENT: 18pt; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"&gt;&lt;SPAN id=kmr6 style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Book Antiqua'"&gt;&lt;FONT id=a:.2 size=2&gt;A antropometria como ciência dedicada ao estudo das relações métricas e operativas da totalidade e das diversas partes do corpo humano, utiliza vários métodos para efectuar estas medições que devem ser aplicadas sobre um grande número de membros da população para estabelecer as correspondentes medidas que determinam uma média tipo (percentis), capazes de serem utilizadas como cânone.
